Easter Blessings
Back from Egypt and tired! Had a wonderful experience and learned a lot. This is some graffiti from one of the temples, placed when the Christians took over some of them. I was gone during Easter and left before the Coptic celebration of Easter, so I missed both. I hold Easter, a very special time in our Christian calendar, close to my heart as it is the sacrifice our savior, Jesus Christ, made for us. The atonement, the crucifixion and the resurrection are what it is all about! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter.

Mormans Made Simple

"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." - Proverbs 17:22
Here are some reminders or helpful tidbits on ways to manage your stress.
Just say "NO"! You don't have to take on so much! You should not try to do more than you are able. Don't try to run, if you can only walk!
Simplify. Go back to basics.
Have a Routine. Plan ahead, prepare for the day the night before.
Have a change of pace.
Be realistic.
15 minute buffer- giving yourself a 15 minute buffer for everything will leave you much less stressed. Being 15 minutes early for church, you can sit and listen to the organ play. If you are 15 minutes early for a doctor's appointment you can relax and read a magazine or you might be called in early and have it out of the way!
Fix it or Trash It- don't save it up to fix it "one of these days". It is a stress! Throw it away!
Delegate- don't do everything by yourself! Ask others to help!
Sleep well- go to bed early! Don't leave any lights on, as it disrupts your sleep!
Limit junk food - this can cause stress on your body as it is not good for it!
Drink lots of water
Get light! Go outside! Enjoy nature!
Spiritual Stress Helpers
Attend the Temple- it re-sensitizes our spirituality and rejuvenates our spirit!
Attend church- it will remind us every Sunday of our Eternal view of life
Forgive- holding grudges cause large amount of stress and is very burdensome.
Serve others- it helps you to forget about yourself.
Exercise regularly- it is a great outlet for aggression.
Affirmations- Get some Pollyanna Power!
RS BIRTHDAY PARTY!
For those that missed the dinner, here is a slide show of the night's happenings! Enjoy.(Don't forget to turn off the playlist music at the end of the blog before running the slide show or your music will over lap)
