Dinner is Served!

OK, not just women on this blog. Who could resist not putting Tom's tummy on this post. We had a great dinner at the Patchett's house. The Garlocks were there and Eileen's brisket looked good to me, even though I don't eat meat. Everyone was quiet and making mmmm sounds. The Rolls, the Geis', the Patchetts, and me, Laurie were there. Mark was out hiking in the snow with his class today. I told him between work and this class I do not see him much and I was going to get a boyfriend. Tom voluteered, so now I have one. Dessert was at the Bishop's house, lots of sweets and good conversation! Even with full bellies, Tina and I managed to laugh it up, Thanks for the ab work out Tina! Hmmmm, I really don't have time for a boyfriend so sorry, Tom.

Taste of Home

Eileen Garlock had many great ideas for meal planning. tonight at our Taste of Home night! The handout we received has so many great tips, all in one place. What a wonderful reference. A freezer storage chart will let you know how long to leave the yummy Apple Country Chicken dish in your freezer! Remember to label and date your packages. Plan your meals and keep saying this mantra, "The freezer is my friend." There are many great recipes in the book that was handed out. I for one want to try the baked veggie chips! TIME OUT for Women
Great Time Out for Women. Click on link to take you to the website. It is next October, but the cast of presenters looks amazing. I have been to a few of these and they are great, entertaining and up lifting. I even got to meet Mary Ellen Edmonds at one and she hugged me for a long time....it actually got a bit uncomfortable...but I love her just the same!

Tasty Tues. Night Out

Well, our first Tasty Tues at CPK also known as California Pizza Kitchen was a hit. Great company and yummy good food. The barbeque chicken salad was a hit and the tortilla soup. I had the favorite vegatarian smashed pea and barley soup mmmmmm!
This will be a once a month event (on the third Tues. of the month) and the location will be announced. This should be fun trying out the different restaurants in the area as well as chatting with our friends. Getting to know each other better is also a great benefit! It's all good when there is food involved.

Bike Ride

Bike Ride with Laurie.   No one came.  It was just me, myself and I.  What a beautiful morning. Cool, no actually cold, sunny and clear skies.  It was so nice riding the trail with the birds singing and Saddleback mountain with a frosting of snow.  I will do this ride again, so I hope some women will join me.  It is low key, casual and easy.  from Heros park it is about 8 mi round trip if you only want to ride for about 45 mins.
