Quotes of the day/week/month/year

“Cultivate an attitude of happiness. Cultivate a spirit of optimism. Walk with faith, rejoicing in the beauties of nature, in the goodness of those you love, in the testimony which you carry in your heart concerning things divine.”

"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." - Proverbs 17:22

Here are some reminders or helpful tidbits on ways to manage your stress.

Just say "NO"! You don't have to take on so much! You should not try to do more than you are able. Don't try to run, if you can only walk!

Simplify. Go back to basics.

Have a Routine. Plan ahead, prepare for the day the night before.

Have a change of pace.

Be realistic.

15 minute buffer- giving yourself a 15 minute buffer for everything will leave you much less stressed. Being 15 minutes early for church, you can sit and listen to the organ play. If you are 15 minutes early for a doctor's appointment you can relax and read a magazine or you might be called in early and have it out of the way!

Fix it or Trash It- don't save it up to fix it "one of these days". It is a stress! Throw it away!

Delegate- don't do everything by yourself! Ask others to help!

Sleep well- go to bed early! Don't leave any lights on, as it disrupts your sleep!

Limit junk food - this can cause stress on your body as it is not good for it!

Drink lots of water

Get light! Go outside! Enjoy nature!
